Vinny's Italian Restaurant opened October 11, 2003, answering a dream of the first (and current) owners, Sal and Winnie Vetrano.  The rock portion of the building has stood in Leakey for approximately 75 years.  Originally built in 1929, it was a gas station and cafe that many residents remember fondly.  The rock shell was what attracted Sal and Winnie to the property with their vision of a "little spaghetti restaurant."
